What is SIRA?

SIRA is a research management application (CRIS) developed by the University of Barcelona (UB) that replaces the old GREC application. This new platform integrates all the functionalities related to the management of research information, including the funding obtained for research, the activities carried out and the results obtained. The development of SIRA is part of an agreement signed in 2018 between the UB and the UIB, with the aim of improving efficiency in the management of research data and promoting collaboration between institutions to strengthen the academic and scientific ecosystem.

SIRA incorporates two outstanding services: Curricul@ and Curricul@Grups. Curricul@ allows each researcher to manage their research curriculum vitae individually, while Curricul@Grups offers principal researchers the ability to maintain an updated history of the research developed by their group or I+D+I unit, using the information provided by members through Curricul@. These services are designed to optimize the management and dissemination of research results within the scientific community.
